Harvest Hayride & Bonfire (Palatine, Twin Lakes Recreation Area)
Friday, October 7th
Get ready for the family-friendly event throughout the Twin Lakes Recreation area. Hayrides will be taken around the park as a story is read, and s’mores and hot chocolate will be ready for you as you relax around a bonfire. The 5:00 pm & 5:30 pm rides are geared towards younger kids and will start while it’s still light outside. Please dress for the weather! The fee is per person. Adults must accompany children. Children under the age of 1 year are free. Limit numbers per hayride. Stories are read on the hayride by the Palatine Public Library. Pre-registration is required; no walk-ins.

Mount Prospect Downtown Trick-or-Treat
Wednesday, October 26th, 4 – 6 p.m.
Location: Downtown Mount Prospect
Dress up in your costume and trick-or-treat at Downtown Mount Prospect businesses. Participating businesses will have an orange pumpkin on their door or window. Businesses with teal pumpkins will offer non-food treats.
Halloween Spooktacular- Roselle
Friday, October 28th, 6-7:30 pm. Registration Deadline: October 24, 2022
Location: Clauss Recreation Center
Ages 2-6 (with a parent/guardian)
Join the Roselle Park District for a night of spooky Halloween fun! Children will get to create a Halloween-themed craft, pick out a pumpkin from our indoor pumpkin patch to decorate, play some fun Halloween games, eat yummy treats, and more! Children are encouraged to wear their costumes to the event.
Trunk or Treat - Arlington Heights
Saturday, October 29th, 2 - 5 pm, Outdoors at Melas Park in the Bosch Parking Lot
Location: Melas Park in the Bosch Parking Lot
Come in costume - we'll provide the treat bags, candy, and spooky fun! Each time slot allows trunk or treaters plenty of time to enjoy the trunk or treat line and activities. Children three and up must be registered to participate, and parents must accompany children during the event. Trunk or Treat is an outdoor activity, so be sure to dress for the weather!
Trunk or Treat- Roselle

All families are welcome to Roselle’s annual Trunk or Treat. Families will get to walk around and enjoy viewing the unique trunk decorations while children will also enjoy trick-or-treating in a safe environment. If you are looking for a fun Halloween activity this October stop by Trunk or Treat!
