Forest Glen

Forest Glen’s motto is “Chicago’s Finest Community,” and the neighborhood has plenty to back it up. Forest preserves, golf courses, and parks surround the community, which attracts those looking for peaceful seclusion and an easy commute to work downtown.

Homes in Forest Glen are a mix of 1940s bungalows, ranch houses, Tudors, and Georgian single-family homes; many are still in the original owner’s family.

When it comes to dining, locally owned eateries provide plenty of options. Recreation abounds with access to bike trails in neighboring Sauganash and wooded forest preserves.

Commuters have two stops on the Metra Milwaukee District North Line with a station in Forest Glen and Edgebrook, and two other stops just outside the community’s boundaries. Also nearby is the CTA Blue Line, offering train service to O’Hare International Airport, and the Edens Expressway.
